Safety
IDENTIFICATION AND NAME TAGS
At F/MAF, we strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment to our visitors. Parents and visitors are required to use the main entrance door when visiting the school or picking up students.
In order to ensure all students’ safety, please stop in the office, register your visit and pick up a VISITOR badge prior to going to the classroom. If office personnel are unsure of your identity, you may be asked to provide identification before you are given permission to leave the office and proceed to the classroom.

All district staff members are required to wear identification badges that have their picture, their name and their home school identified. If you see an adult at F/MAF without identification or a name tag, please contact the school office. The security of the children in the school is our highest priority.

Building Safety
Outside entrance/exit doors will be locked after student arrival every morning. The only door open for parent/public access will be the main door at the front (south end) of the building by the office. Visitors must check into the office as soon as they arrive.

Throughout the year each child will learn more about safety in the following ways: fire and tornado drills, lockdown and evacuation procedures, safety patrol, safety lessons, civil defense, playground rules, and bus safety.
