My job is to Inspire, Challenge and Empower all students. This is my 2nd year teaching 4th grade at Ben Franklin Elementary. Before teaching in Rochester, I worked in several schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul. While there, I developed a strong interest in the arts and expressing culture and identity through art. This year I am looking forward to incorporating the arts academically and in cultural celebrations in the classroom this year. I am also very passionate about the outdoors and am always looking for opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom. One of my favorite class field trips is to the Quarry Hill Nature Center. If you are interested in volunteering as a chaperone or volunteer throughout the year, please let me know!

I am working on my Computer Links page where you will find many useful links for your child. I will update these regularly to match topics and skills we are learning in class.

You can expect your child to have 2 steps (30minutes) of reading homework each night. Students will need to get their reading logs signed by a parent each night. You can also expect one math homework assignment each night. Students will use their daily planners to help record and keep track of their assignments. Please sign and check these planners and reading logs to help students stay accountable for their work and learning.

I am looking forward to collaborating with you this year! The best way to communicate with me is through my school email:
